Already on Mastodon or another server of the fediverse, and want to come to Disbigle? Now you can bring your account: your followers follow you here on their own, and you can pick a new name.
How it works
- On the sign-up page choose Bring your account: write your current address, like
[email protected], and your new name here. - Once your account is open, Settings → Move links the old account to the new one, with one click.
- On your old server, start the move to your Disbigle address: the same page gives you the direct link.
- Your followers' servers follow you here on their own, within minutes or a few hours.
It works today from Mastodon, GoToSocial, Akkoma, Pleroma, Misskey, Sharkey and Iceshrimp. Importing the people you follow and your blocked and muted accounts, from the files your old server exports, is the next step; diaspora* and Friendica come after.
Read before you move
Your old posts stay on the old server, and some steps of a move cannot be undone. Any loss of data is at your own risk: download every export your old server offers before you start. Everything is explained, network by network, on the Bring your account page.
