About
A small project with a big idea
Make the free social web feel like one place.
The story of the name
Disbiglio is an invented word. It was born in a family, from an angry father who started to shout "disgraziato!" and halfway through changed insult.
Among friends it stayed as a friendly tease for whoever gets into trouble. Disbigle is its international version: say "dis-BEE-gol".
The logo is a speech bubble that winks: conversation, with a little cheek.
Who we are
Disbigle is started by the people behind diaspo.it and diaspoverso.it, the Italian diaspora* pod, and hubzilla.diaspo.it. Years of running pods taught us what people miss: their friends on other networks.
The project is maintained by Serafino Christian Varazze. Contact: [email protected].
