Edit posts everywhere

Edit a Disbigle post after publishing it, photos and polls included. Mastodon, Friendica and Hubzilla show the change. Here is how it works.

Made a typo? Now you can edit a post after publishing it: the text, and the photos and the poll too, as on Mastodon.

One thing to know: if you change the options of a poll, its votes start again from zero.

Where the edit arrives

  • Mastodon & co.: the edit goes out over ActivityPub and they show the new version
  • Friendica and Hubzilla: they apply it, through the diaspora* protocol
  • diaspora* pods: they don't support edits yet, so they keep the first version
